The format of each class is structured by focusing on individual topics, building vocabulary and highlighting relevant grammatical points as we go. All participants take an active role in highly-engaging activities to put their skills to the test.
Each class also contains listening activities where we examine and engage with various media sources, learning from native Irish speakers. We explore the linguistic nuances of the language and connect with the richness (saibhreas) and beauty of Gaeilge in a fun and rewarding way.
You will be led by the highly-experienced and knowledgeable Múinteoir Adam who will teach each class with passion and enthusiasm!

Your Teacher - Adam Ó Faoláin
Adam is a qualified secondary school Irish teacher with years of experience teaching Irish at Junior and Senior Cycle level. His approach is conversation-first, focused on getting you speaking Irish with confidence, not memorising grammar rules in isolation.

Who is the Intermediate Irish Programme for?
This course is for learners who can already hold a basic conversation and want more fluency, feedback, and structure. It suits informal learners looking to deepen their Irish, rusty speakers who want to get back into the language community, and anyone working towards TEG A2/B1.
Do I need to sit a TEG exam?
No. TEG is used as a reference point of quality. The course is still valuable if you simply want to speak with more confidence. It can also support you if you later want formal assessment for your own progression or profession.
How do the live online classes work?
Classes are live on Zoom in a small group. Each week focuses on a topic, builds vocabulary, and highlights relevant grammar as you go. You take an active role in speaking activities and listening work with native Irish media.
